    Tumors have blood vessels that are abnormally porous. These leaky blood vessels form the nutritional support structures that enable tumors to absorb fluids to feed cancer cell growth with no efficient route for exit, thereby creating a protective pressure gradient inside the tumor (like inflating a balloon), but outside the blood stream itself.
